Booking Collections:

  • Please email customerservices@royaleafrica.com
  • Please state the ready and closing times as this can affect the collection
  • Please advise of the contact details of the shipper and consignee
  • Transit times to Regional and Remote areas do vary between 2-5 working days
  • At all times please advise the contents and quantity of the shipment
  • Please provide us with the packed dimensions (in cm) and mass(in kg’s) of your consignment

The below diagram illustrates how to calculate volumetric mass:


(   L     x     B     x     H ) ÷ 5000 (Volumetric Factor)

Example: 60 cm x 40 cm x 25 cm ÷ 5000  = 12 kg

  • Please note that it is your responsibility to disclose if the shipment contains either metal ion or lithium ion batteries in ANY quantity
  • If you’ve booked an international shipment and it’s NOT a document then please include a Pro Forma Invoice (not for resale) or a Commercial Invoice (for resale) for customs purposes.
  • Important:  As we do not offer any insurance please ensure that the cargo is packaged securely for transit.

Metal & Lithium ion batteries

Please note that it is your responsibility to disclose if the shipment contains either metal ion or lithium ion batteries in ANY quantity. Please note that a shipment containing either of these materials may not be accepted for carriage by the airlines as courier, and that a standard courier quote from Royale International may not be valid due to specific modes of transport required to move these shipments.


Please email customerservices@royaleafrica.com. Quotations are based on actual mass and volumetric mass as we would bill you the greater of the two. The rates quoted excludes destination costs example: Customs Duty and Taxes and storage charges (if applicable). The cargo is handled at “Owners Risk”. Regrettably we do not offer insurance. Please feel free to use your own insurers. Royale International charges an additional R650 surcharge over and above the base rate for any high value (any shipment valued at R 500 or more) consignments exported from Cape Town. This is due to an additional customs processing requirement for exporting high value consignments.

Quotations are based on information given by you and on current rates and conditions, ruling at date herein, and are subject to change without prior notice. All business undertaken is done in terms of our standard trading conditions and conditions of carriage, details of which can be found on our website: Royale International Terms Conditions. Please note that the prices quoted are valid for 7 days from the time of receipt.


All prices are quoted in South African Rands and exclude VAT. (Domestic consignments only).

  • Transit to Regionalcenters-48-72 hour delivery
  • R150 surcharge, for all deliveries to:
    • Mines
    • Plots
    • Townships
    • Tender Documents
    • Farms
    • Power Stations
    • Border Stations
    • Remote destinations may incur additional surcharges which will be determined based on the distance from our closest delivery hub


Tracking – Web
• Use our online tracking facility on our website(www.royaleafrica.com).
• Alternatively, you can request Proof of Delivery(POD’s) by sending an email containing you waybill number in the subject line to pods@royaleafrica.com.
• You can also request supplementary documentation i.e. Customs Documentation, by sending an email containing your waybill number
in the subject line to documents@royaleafrica.com.
